Please do not close Queen street to cars as that end of town will become a dead area for people to feel safe walking around.like the Courtney street is all ready .take a look at the way Paignton is after dark only drinkers and others seem to frequent the ghost areas .Is this what the council of the area wants no go areas where the police can not get to fights and disturbances . Newton Abbot was a pleasant area to shop in and visit. If Newton Abbot becomes car free a lot of people and money will be taken away to other areas .Or is the council wanting more closed shops and more charity shops .
