Does anyone know why it was called outterside street I would love to know which one of my ancestors/relatives it was named after and what they did to get a street named after them thank you
Yes my great grandfather Albert Outterside lived on Outterside Street with his family. My grandad grew up there. He owned one of the houses on there. My dads said that two sea captains who were Albert's family who were Outterside's built the row in the 1800's.Alberts family moved to Chorley for work and originally came from Idle near Bradford . So this branch of the Outterside family built the houses.
