Hi, my grandmother lived on Great Northern Street Huntingdon. It was around 10 houses up from the pub on the corner, on the right (backing onto Ermine Street, and around where the car park for the health centre/surgery is. Her house May have been knocked down to make way for the car park.





There used to be a tarmac area that had access to a passage way to the shops on Ermine street (I think)



We used to be able to walk from hers, towards the entrance to GN street and turn right at the end to access the ‘Common’- there’s loads of houses built where the entrance used to be.



There was a spring in the common that we used to visit.



Also her friend Bennet lived on the same side of the road as her but towards the end where the street bends to the right.



I’d love to hear from anyone who might know if the old house is still there, who her neighbours were etc.



Apparently my Nan ran a sweet shop on ermine street in the 1920s/30s. I can find no info about that
