I was born at home in the year 1954 @ 15 Monmouth Court, Curzon Cresent, London. Wondered what happened Monmouth Court as not lived in the area since the age of 7.

I was born in Monmouth Court in 1942 on the 2nd level in the corner flat, have memories of a boy called Brian Fuller who fell of the pram sheds that were along the alley way and impaled himself up through his bottom with spiked railings. Think that was his name, We got a council house in Mead Platt in about 1952 just off the North Circular Rd

My father lived at 20 Bramber Court Curzon Crescent Willesdon during WW2. I cannot find any trace of it does anyone know if this property is still in existence ?

Hi Mark,

I lived in Bramber Court, number 25, and it was on the second balcony. Your dad probably lived

on the same balcony as my family. We moved into the "court", around 1951 with my parents, and siblings. We were not there until after the War, I am not too sure of the date, but it must have been around 1951. I was born in 1945, and my parents are no longer alive, but it may have been possible that my parents may have known your Dad. I was only a kid, and I do not remember the name. Everybody in those day had children, it was a great place to live at that age. It was rough, and you had to learn at an early age how to

look after yourself, as your Dad may have told you.

As regards, if it still exists, I do not know, but I did visit the "crescent" some years ago, it must have been around the 70's, but time goes by so quickly, so I can't be sure, Bramber Court was still there, and slightly

modified, but as I remembered it.

Bramber Court still exists, renamed Block 2, Hugh Gaitskell House, Butler Road.



My family lived there in the 1950s at number 5 (now no 25). See Google Earth.



I can recall some of the families that were resident at that time:
