I'm pleased that you appreciate the information! I also remember that Dr C was not above asking about his patents' progress while in the Stirrup Cup on a Sunday morning -- which I am sure would not be appproved of today. Incidentally, my aunt and uncle always referred to the Stirrup Cup as the New Inn, so I guess that was its earlier name.
