I live in Horn Street, and have done so since 1979. My driveway exits onto the road in the middle of the S-bends between the defunct Trout farm and Seabrook Vale.



Traffic calming measures are somewhat juvenile which causes me to engage in something of a lottery when wishing to enter the Race track known as Horn Street.



I have requested simple, and cheap, measures from Kent Highways but to no avail to mitigate the hazards I have to encounter on a daily basis.



It seems that fatality data is required before Kent Highways could consider any remedial measures.



Perhaps someone bent on suicide would be prepared to exit their existence in the vicinity in order to provide the fatality data. Failing this it may be that some innocent, possibly me, would be required to provide the data.



Some motorists, not all, seem unable to assimilate roadside information and treat these bends as slalom course. Ok, they are illiterate, but we need to allow for their lack of comprehension.



Kent Highways need to address such problems when they impact on road safety before fatalities occur.
